First Look: Mondraker Zendit, a New Standard for Electric Enduro

Mondraker has been quietly building some of the best electric mountain bikes on the planet, and they just dropped something that deserves your full attention. The Zendit is a brand-new electric enduro platform from the ground up, and it's powered by a motor system that most riders haven't even heard of yet.

We just got all three builds live on our site and took a deep dive into the specs. Here's what you need to know.

The Platform: Full Carbon, Full Send

The Zendit is built around Mondraker's full carbon Stealth Air frame with 165mm of rear travel up front paired with a 170mm fork. It runs a mullet wheel setup (29" front, 27.5" rear) which is exactly what you want on a bike designed to charge steep, technical descents while still pedaling efficiently back to the top.

Mondraker's Forward Geometry is dialed in here. Longer reach, slacker head angle, shorter chainstays. The result is a bike that stays planted and composed when things get rowdy, without feeling like a barge on mellower trails. If you've ridden a Crafty or a Dune, you know the DNA. The Zendit takes that same philosophy and builds a new chassis around it.

The frame also features full internal cable routing, a flip chip for geometry adjustments, and clean integration of the battery and motor. It looks factory, not aftermarket. That matters when you're spending this kind of money.

The Motor: Avinox M2S

This is the headline feature. The Zendit runs the Avinox M2S motor, which is Bosch's newest high-performance e-MTB drive unit. If you're used to seeing Bosch CX motors on everything, the M2S is a different animal entirely.

We're talking 130Nm of torque in standard mode, with 150Nm available in boost. Peak power output hits 1,300 watts. For reference, a standard Bosch CX puts out 85Nm. The M2S nearly doubles that. The power delivery is smooth and responsive, with Bosch's refined pedal-assist algorithms keeping everything feeling natural rather than jerky.

Battery capacity is a full 800Wh integrated unit. On a bike with this much power, having a large battery isn't a luxury, it's a necessity. Mondraker integrated it cleanly into the downtube so the frame lines stay sharp and the center of gravity stays low.

If you've been waiting for a Bosch-powered enduro bike that can genuinely compete with the Shimano EP8 and Specialized SL motors on the trail, this is it. The M2S changes the conversation.

Suspension and Geometry

With 165mm of rear travel and 170mm up front, the Zendit sits firmly in the enduro category. This isn't a trail bike that can kind of handle rough stuff. This is a bike built for riders who seek out the steepest lines and the gnarliest features.

The mullet wheel configuration is purpose-built for aggressive riding. The 29" front wheel rolls over rocks, roots, and chunk with more stability, while the 27.5" rear keeps the bike playful and maneuverable. It's a combination that works incredibly well in steep, technical terrain.

Mondraker's Forward Geometry platform provides long reach numbers that give you confidence at speed without the bike feeling stretched out at low speeds. The geometry is tunable via the flip chip, so you can adjust the head angle and bottom bracket height to match your local terrain.

Three Builds, One Platform

Mondraker is offering the Zendit in three builds, all sharing the same frame and motor platform. The difference comes down to suspension and components. Here's how they stack up:

Zendit XR | $15,499

The top-shelf build. You get Fox Factory suspension front and rear (Factory 38 fork and Float X2 shock), a SRAM X0 Eagle Transmission drivetrain, SRAM Code Ultimate brakes, and DT Swiss EXC wheels. This is the build for riders who want the absolute best and don't want to upgrade a single component. Every part on this bike is race-ready out of the box.

Zendit RR S | $12,999

The sweet spot of the lineup. Fox Performance Elite suspension, SRAM GX Eagle Transmission, SRAM Code Silver brakes, and Mavic E-Deemax wheels. You're saving $2,500 compared to the XR and the performance gap on the trail is going to be marginal for most riders. This is the build we'd point most riders toward if they want premium performance without the flagship price tag.

Zendit RR | $10,699

The entry point into the Zendit platform, and "entry" is relative when you're talking about a full carbon enduro e-MTB with the Avinox M2S motor. Fox Performance suspension, SRAM GX Eagle Transmission, SRAM DB8 brakes, and Mavic E-Deemax wheels. It's a seriously capable bike at a price point that undercuts a lot of the competition running similar motor and frame tech.

Who Is This Bike For?

The Zendit is for aggressive trail and enduro riders who want maximum power and maximum capability. This is not a cross-country bike. This is not a lightweight trail bike. This is a full-power, full-carbon enduro machine built for riders who ride hard and ride often.

If your typical ride involves long climbs to access steep, technical descents, and you want a motor that actually keeps up with your effort rather than limiting it, the Zendit delivers. The 800Wh battery means you can ride all day without range anxiety, and the Avinox M2S motor provides the kind of power that makes even the longest shuttle-worthy climbs feel routine.

This is also a strong option for riders coming from bikes with Shimano EP8 or Bosch CX motors who want a significant step up in power without switching to a lesser-known motor brand. The Avinox is Bosch, backed by Bosch engineering and Bosch support. That matters for long-term reliability and service.

Final Thoughts

Mondraker has built something special with the Zendit. The combination of a full carbon frame, Forward Geometry, mullet wheel setup, and the Avinox M2S motor creates a bike that's genuinely in a class of its own right now. There aren't many electric enduro bikes on the market running this motor, and Mondraker is one of the first brands to put it in a purpose-built enduro chassis.

All three builds are solid. The XR is for riders who want no compromises. The RR S is arguably the best value. The RR makes high-end electric enduro more accessible than it's ever been.
