Cancellation / Return / Exchange Policy

Of course we'd prefer you to purchase your bike locally at our shop in gorgeous southern California!  But we know that sometimes this isn't possible.  If that's the case we would be honored to be your online retailer and we take great pride in offering the best service you can get with an online purchase.  

Our Cancellation / Return / Exchange Policies vary depending on the category and status of item that was ordered and/or purchased. Here are the definitions of the terms in our policies:

  • Non-Customized

    These are bikes that are in a standard color and build, as seen on our website as a standard option. If you're able to choose the bike from the options on our site, it's a non-customized bike.

  • Customized

    These are specially built bikes from brands that offer customizations, including but not limited to custom colors, components, accessories, and special decals.

  • In-Stock and Regularly Stocked

    Bikes: These are bikes that are are in-stock at the time of the customer order at a Fly Rides location.

    Accessories: These are parts and accessories that are regularly stocked at Fly Rides.

  • Special Order

    Bikes: These are bikes that are not in-stock at the time of the order at a Fly Rides location and need to be ordered from the manufacturer. *All Customized bikes are also considered Special Order.

    Accessories: These are parts and accessories that are not regularly stocked at Fly Rides and must be ordered from a supplier.

  • In Stock Orders and Non-Customized Special Orders

    1. Cancellation Window: 24 hours
    2. Orders cancelled within this window will have the deposit refunded, minus a $35 cancellation fee. After 24 hours, the deposit becomes non-refundable.
    3. For orders cancelled outside of the Cancellation Window but before the order has been fulfilled (shipped to you or taken home) the non-refundable deposit may be converted into a Fly Rides Return Gift Card.
    4. After an order has been fulfilled, it can no longer be cancelled and will be subject to our return policies.
  • Customized bike/eBike Orders

    1. Cancellation Window: 7 days
    2. Orders cancelled within the Cancellation Window will have the deposit refunded, minus a $75 cancellation fee.
    3. Orders of customized bikes may not be cancelled after 7 days.

Cancellation of orders will be processed within 3 business days. If a refund is issued, it will go to the original payment method.

Non-refundable deposits may be converted into Fly Rides Return Gift Cards. See details below under EXCHANGES.

  • Accessories

    1. Return Window: 30 Days
    2. In-Stock / Regularly Stocked accessories may be returned within the Return Window if they are in unused condition and with all original packaging.
    3. Special Order / Non-Regularly Stocked accessories are not returnable.
    4. All Labor is non-refundable.
  • Non-Customized Bikes/eBikes

    1. Return Window: 30 Days
    2. Non-Customized bikes and eBikes are eligible for return within the Return Window, starting with the day of delivery or being taken from our shop.
    3. Condition: Returned bikes will be inspected at our warehouse. If the bike/eBike is in the same condition as when it was sold AND has no more than 10 miles added to the odometer AND is returned with all original materials including but not limited to manuals, chargers, keys, etc., it may be refunded, minus a $1000 restocking fee.
    4. If the return is being shipped back, Fly Rides must be notified and tracking info must be sent to support@flyridesusa.com. Customer must pay return shipping with insurance covering the full price of the bike.
    5. If the bike/eBike does not meet all of the conditions above, Fly Rides reserves the right to refuse the return or charge an appropriate refurbishment fee in addition to the restocking fee, to be determined by Fly Rides.
  • Customized Bikes/eBikes

    1. Return Window: N/A
    2. Customized bikes/eBikes are built specifically for the customer order and are not returnable.
    3. If the bike is deemed resellable (at Fly Rides discretion) it may be traded in for store credit.
  • Transfer of Deposits

    1. If an order is cancelled but subject to a non-refundable deposit, that deposit may be converted into store credit in the form of a Fly Rides Return Gift Card.
    2. Fly Rides Return Gift Cards may be used to pay for the balance of another purchase, but may not be used for a deposit for a special order.
  • Trade Ins

    1. Fly Rides accepts trade in bikes at the discretion of management.
    2. The value of the traded in bike will be calculated taking into account the model year, condition, and desirability of the model in the current market conditions.

Please note, prices are subject to change based on supply and demand. Fly Rides does not honor updated prices for past transactions.

Shipping Delays and Damage

Shipping Delays

eBikes have to ship by ground transportation because of the batteries, which takes longer than air. Bikes that we have in stock still need to go through our quality assurance process before shipping out to you. We do this to make sure you get a bike in great condition! 

We will give you our best delivery estimate, assuming everything goes without a hitch. Unfortunately, for bikes coming from the brand's warehouse, we cannot control exactly when the bike arrives. Delivery estimates are just that!! We absolutely want you to get your bike as soon as possible, and we'll get it on its way to you as quickly as we are able. You'll get tracking info when your bike is on its way.

A shipping delay does not constitute a valid reason for cancellation of an order.

Shipping Damage

Before shipping a bike, we physically inspect it for damage and test it for quality assurance. We then repack it with additional materials to ensure safe delivery.

That said, bikes can still be damaged in transit. If a bike is damaged, usually it is apparent due to the condition of the box. Please follow the guidelines on our shipping page for inspecting your shipment upon delivery and safe unboxing.

With proper documentation, we can file a claim with the shipper and get your bike repaired or replaced as necessary.

If damage in shipment is not reported to Fly Rides within 7 days of delivery and with photo or video documentation, that damage will not be covered under warranty.
